The "Hail Mary" in Sugbuhanon a.k.a Cebuano


 

This is the "Hail Mary" written in a Visayan variation of the baybayin. Note the spaces between the words, the indentation of the paragraphs, and the modern pronunciation of "Hesus".

Maghimaya ka Malia (Maria) nga napono ka sa
galasiya (grasiya) ang aton Gino diyosa adda saimo. Dayago
ka sa ku pa sa mangababai ngatanan ug dayago man ang
bunga sa tiyan mosi Hesus.

Santa Malia (Maria), inahan ka sa Diyosa magampo ka
tango sa anomanga makasasala, niyan ug sa igkamatai
namo.                  Amen
