A Fragment of the Ilokano "Hail Mary"

From a re-edited 1895 edition of the 1620 Doctrina Cristiana
by Father Francisco Lopez. It was based on Cardinal Belarmino's catechism.
 

 

This Ilokano document was first published by Father Francisco Lopez in 1620 using the Tagalog form of the baybayin. Here, Lopez introduced his radical modification to baybayin orthography, the + kudlít which allowed for unvoiced consonants.
